An itinerary in the history, art and nature

The Museo Civico e Diocesano di Fucecchio, first opened in 1969 as an art collection and after a complete renovation and enlargement  reopened in  2004 in the Corsini Palace, next to a wide park including the remains of the early medieval castle of Salamarzana (10th century) and the imposing towers of the Florentine Fortress (1323-1325).

The collections are arranged in three sections (archaeology, art and nature) illustrating the history of the territory from the Pliocene until contemporary time.

Useful informations

According to 2022 March 24, COVID19 Green Pass is not necessary to enter the museum. 

Anyhow, wearing FFP2 face mask is prescribed to access the museum for over 6 years.
