The works exhibited in this room come mostly from the donation that the author wanted to allocate to his native country. They document the variety of techniques used – from drawing to engraving, from oils to bronzes – and the evolution of artistic language. These works represent the artist’s whole artistic career, from his early youthful creations, such as the 1911 self-portrait, up to those of the 1960s.
